Celebrating 50 Years in Business!
Any South Australian resident or visitor is likely to have experienced Bardavcol’s influence on our state. Whether driving to your destination, flying into or out of South Australia, utilising our most precious water resources, or crossing a bridge, chances are Bardavcol has played a part in your day.
Having done so since December 1975, Bardavcol recently celebrated a significant milestone—50 years in business.
What began as a small business subcontracting to builders has, over five decades, grown into a trusted organisation that has delivered some of South Australia’s most important infrastructure projects. Guided by integrity, reliability, agility and trust, we remain a proud, humble family business—honouring our legacy while looking ahead with excitement to the future.
We were delighted to celebrate this milestone alongside our valued clients, suppliers, contractors, friends, and most importantly, our people—past and present. We were also honoured to have the Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, the Hon Emily Bourke MLC, attend and speak about Bardavcol’s contribution to South Australia.
We sincerely thank everyone who joined us on the day and all those who have supported Bardavcol throughout our 50 successful years.

UPCOMING PROJECT
Mount Barker Interchange Upgrade
At Bardavcol, we thrive on constructing infrastructure to enhance the lives of our fellow South Australians.
On behalf of the South Australian Government, Bardavcol will join with Tonkin and their partner GHD in designing and constructing the Mount Barker Interchange Upgrade. Mount Barker is currently a major growth area in the Adelaide Hills, upgrading this interchange will improve capacity, traffic efficiency and commuter safety in the area.
The upgraded interchange will include:
· A new three lane bridge over the South Eastern Freeway for northbound traffic
· Conversion of the existing bridge to accommodate three lanes of southbound traffic
· A new signalised intersection at Adelaide Road and the freeway exit ramp from Murray Bridge
· Upgrades to the existing ramps to and from Adelaide to improve safety and capacity
· A new bus priority lane
· A new shared path
· A new northbound on road bike lane
· Improved accessibility and safety for Adelaide Road service road.
Design is currently underway, with construction planned to start at the end of this year. This coincides just as Bardavcol celebrates 50 years of operation, a milestone for our proudly South Australian company.
