RIGHT TOOL FOR THE JOB
There is always a right way and a wrong way to do things, this principle applies to all tasks from shovelling dirt, to the most complex tasks like installing bridge components. Every tool is designed for a purpose, and should only be used for that purpose.
That includes everything from a spanner to a grader, to the right PPE for a task, to the right material for a job, and even the right person for the job. If it doesn’t meet the required specification, or wasn’t designed to be used for the task you want it to, don’t use it.
Just like you wouldn’t use a laptop to hammer in a nail, a hammer shouldn’t be used to dig a hole.
Every tool is designed for a purpose, and should only be used for that purpose.
Make sure tools and equipment are not being used over their rated load, ensure that they are in a serviceable condition, and make sure that using it will not damage the tool, the item its being used on, or most importantly the person using it.
