WORKING AROUND LIVE SERVICES
CONTROLS

An Excavation Permit must be issued before any digging can occur in an area on site.

Dial Before You Dig (DBYD) must be consulted to identify any existing services.

Be aware DBYD plans DO NOT cover off on all the services that are in the ground, undertaken visual inspections for others.

Ensure all emergency procedures listed by the asset owner in the DBYD are followed.

All known services must be pot holed and physically located before any mechanical excavation can occur.

Ensure that there is a trained and competent Spotter working with each excavator near services.
-
Only qualified, competent and ticketed operators are to operate items of plant near services.

All overhead cables must be measured for height and recorded prior to works commencing in Planning Stage.
